Juneau-Douglas High School Theatre is performing \u201cThe Addams Family Musical\u201d for one weekend only.<\/p>\n
In the play, Wednesday Addams is all grown up and engaged to a boy from a \u201cnormal\u201d family. In this \u201chilarious\u201d musical, the Addams Family hosts a meet and greet between the two families \u2014 and meanwhile, Morticia, Wednesday\u2019s mother, doesn\u2019t yet know that the couple is engaged.<\/p>\n
The play is rated PG.<\/p>\n
Performances are Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., with a lunch with the cast of the show from 1 \u2014 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23. The lunch features themed foods like \u201chuman fingers served on a bed of poison ivy\u201d (salad and breadsticks), \u201cbloody intestines with fresh eyeballs and skin shavings\u201d (spaghetti and meatballs with parmesan cheese) and \u201cI-scream Sundaes.\u201d Gluten free versions of these \u201csecret recipes\u201d are also available.<\/p>\n
Tickets are $10 for students and kids, $15 for senior citizens and $20 general admission. The play is produced and directed by Michaela Moore.<\/p>\n
Vocal director and sound is Richard Moore; stage manager and lights is Emily Schnitzius; choreographers are Lydia Smith, Shanae\u2019a Moore, and Michaela Moore; set construction and artwork are Bo Anderson, Hal Turman, and Diane Anderson; set wrangler is Sian Gonzales; prop mistress is Summer Putman; fly technician is Gavin Oxman.<\/p>\n
Addams family characters are Gomez, played by Dylan Rice; Morticia, played by Lydia Smith; Wednesday, played by Kayla Kohlhase; Pugsley, played by Matthew Woodland; Fester, played by Hunter Hill; Grandma, played by Bethany Bibb; Lurch, played by Brandon Hard; and Thing, played by William Tolles.<\/p>\n
The Beineke family characters are Alice, played by Leah Bibb; Mal, played by Quinn Gentili; and Lucas, played by Jaiden Rettinger.<\/p>\n
