A Juneau man was arrested following multiple reports of gunshots in a Mendenhall Valley neighborhood, according to police.<\/p>\n
Matthew Costello, 24, was arrested on charges of two counts of misconduct involving weapons Thursday evening, Juneau Police Department said in a news release.<\/p>\n
There are no reported injuries connected to the incident, according to police. <\/p>\n
At about 7:24 p.m., Juneau police received multiple calls reporting gunshots fired in the area of Bresee Street, including a call from someone who reported leaving a residence in the 3100 block of Bresee Street in which a man was waving a gun around.<\/p>\n
Upon arriving at the residence, officers encountered several people who police describe as intoxicated. Officers learned that there had been an argument between people inside the residence and that a suspect shot several rounds from a pistol while outside the residence, according to police.<\/p>\n
A pistol, which was identified as belonging to Costello, was located inside the residence where Costello lives, according to police. Empty shell casings were located on the porch outside.<\/p>\n
Costello was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on $5,000 bail.<\/p>\n
