This is a developing story and more information will be added as it becomes available.<\/em><\/p>\n A communications outage took down phone and internet service Thursday afternoon around Juneau, and it had yet to be widely restored as of Thursday evening. <\/p>\n The outage briefly interrupted 911 service, that had been restored by late Thursday afternoon, according to Juneau Police Department, but their business line was still down as of 5:10 p.m. <\/p>\n ** UPDATE** <\/p>\n 9-1-1 is working at our backup call center. Committee meetings were placed on hold.<\/p>\n City-wide internet outage in Juneau is impacting the Alaska State Legislature.
