The time trial is Friday, July 13. The article has been updated to reflect the change.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Three dozen cyclists competed in the Eagle Beach Bike Relay Race on Saturday. It was the first year the Juneau Freewheelers hosted the race, which was topped off with a potluck at the end.<\/p>\n<p>The relay was broken up into four legs between 10-20 miles in length, each of which started and ended at Eagle Beach. The majority of the competitors rode in four-person teams, but the race also featured solo teams and two-person teams.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The basic idea was to try and combine a fun ride and a race,&rdquo; Juneau Freewheelers member Rob Welton said. &ldquo;We also just added a social element to it so that we have a little BBQ here at the finish line to allow people to hang out with each other.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Welton and teammate Lowell Fair won the men&rsquo;s two-person team division and turned in the third fastest time overall (2 hours, 53 minutes, 19 seconds).<\/p>\n<p>Will Coleman won first overall and first in the men&rsquo;s solo division with a time of 2:37:56.
