The Greater Juneau Chamber of Commerce is giving $20 gift cards and a chance to win one of five $1,000 cash drawings to people who get a first dose or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine, the City and Borough of Juneau and chamber announced in a joint release.<\/p>\n
The program, called the Healthy Juneau Initiative, runs June 3-29, according to the city and chamber. It aims to provide incentives to Juneau residents to get vaccinated.<\/p>\n
During that time, people who get a first dose of a Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, at a City and Borough of Juneau\/Public Health vaccine clinic, a participating pharmacy or clinic will immediately be given a $20 gift card to a Juneau business.<\/p>\n
There will also be a $1,000 raffle. People who get a first dose, a single dose or a second dose COVID-19 during the initiative at a city clinic or participating location will get entered into one of five $1,000 cash drawings. The drawings will occur on June 30.<\/p>\n
Funding for the prizes is provided by the Juneau Chamber of Commerce through the Alaska Chamber and Alaska Department of Health & Social Services vaccine incentive grant program, according to the city and chamber.<\/p>\n

Upcoming clinics<\/strong><\/p>\n — June 3, 10, 17 & 24, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Juneau Public Health Center, 3412 Glacier Highway (Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson when available)<\/p>\n — June 12, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the former CBJ Household Hazardous Waste facility, 5436 Commercial Blvd (Pfizer)<\/p>\n — June 16, 12 to 2:30 p.m. at the True North Federal Credit Union, 2777 Postal Way next to Valley Post Office (Pfizer)<\/p>\n Who’s eligible?<\/strong><\/p>\n Anyone ages 12 and up is eligible to receive a vaccine in Alaska. The Pfizer vaccine is authorized for ages 12 and up. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are authorized for people ages 18 and up. Youth ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent\/caregiver to the vaccination.
