Democratic candidate Ed Cullinane has withdrawn from his Anchorage campaign for a seat in the Alaska House.<\/p>\n
Cullinane, in a statement emailed to reporters Wednesday night, said \u201cpersonal health issues have made continuing this particular race impossible.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cullinane had been running against independent Jason Grenn and incumbent Republican Rep. Liz Vazquez in House District 22, which represents the Anchorage neighborhood of Sand Lake. <\/p>\n
Cullinane\u2019s withdrawal leaves Vazquez facing only an independent candidate in November\u2019s general election.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
