The Mendenhall Valley Public Library won multiple awards.<\/p>\n<p>The judges gave the Mendenhall Valley Public Library the Honor Award. In a press release, AIA Alaska noted the sweeping ceilings and high clerestory lofts, stating: \u201cIt is quietly powerful, and clearly connects design to it source of inspiration.\u201d Northwind Architects designed, and Hacker Architects acted as consultants.<\/p>\n<p>The library also won at the people\u2019s choice awards, or \u201cDrive By Jury of Peers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All projects submitted for consideration for the awards were put on display during the conference, and attendees were encouraged to review and vote for their choice.
