Loussac Library will reopen Tuesday after a book circulation and checkout desk are moved to the first floor.<\/p>\n<p>RIM Architects is designing a $15 million remodel of the library and one of the main changes will be public access.<\/p>\n<p>Outside stairs will be demolished. The stairs would ice up each winter and were considered unsafe.<\/p>\n<p>Starting Tuesday, library patrons will enter through a temporary side entrance.<\/p>\n<p>All improvements are scheduled to be completed by spring 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ANCHORAGE \u2014 Anchorage\u2019s main library is closing for renovations.
