Additional drugs were found inside a suspect following their arrest on drug charges Tuesday at Juneau International Airport, according to Juneau Police Department. <\/a><\/p>\n

Stephanie Seminara, 29, who was arrested on charges of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and fifth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, was taken from Lemon Creek Correctional Center to Bartlett Regional Hospital after police suspected additional drugs were being carried inside of the suspect, according to police.<\/p>\n

[Two arrested at airport<\/a>]<\/ins><\/p>\n

At the hospital objects containing 102.7 grams of heroin were removed from inside the suspect, according to police, an estimated value of approximately $23,000. Seminara was returned to LCCC. JPD Lt. Krag Campbell said he could not comment further on her medical status.<\/p>\n

“At this time, there are no other charges for the additional heroin, but that could change at a later time,” Campbell said in an email.<\/p>\n

Seminara and Dustin West Daley, 37, both of Washington state were arrested based on a tip to the Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs task force from a community member about Daley being possibly connected to drug activity, Campbell said.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the state<\/p>\n

Another SEACAD task force tracking a suspect package arrested four Southeast residents in Klawock on Wednesday, according to the Alaska Department of Public Safety.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officials arrested Cicely Tupou, 39, of Craig; Shanteh Carle, 43, of Hydaburg; and Donald Yates, 44, of Klawock for felony second- and third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. Alva Peratrovich, 40, of Hydaburg was also arrested for a probation violation, according to the safety department. All four were taken to the Craig jail.<\/p>\n

Investigators reported seizing 2,000 counterfeit fentanyl pills and 453 grams of methamphetamine, which has a combined street value of $267,900 for Prince of Wales, according to the safety department.<\/p>\n

“Disrupting the sale, trafficking, and distribution of illegal narcotics in Alaska is a top priority of the State of Alaska, Alaska Department of Public Safety, and our many law enforcement partners across the state,” said Alaska State Troopers director Col. Bryan Barlow in a news release. “Illegal narcotics, especially fentanyl, have a widespread negative impact on Alaskans in every corner of our state. We are committed to doing our part to change that.”<\/p>\n

The Anchorage Airport Interdiction Team, another antidrug task force, identified a suspect package on Tuesday, according to the saferty department. After identifying people of interest associated with the package and securing a warrant, investigators arrested three at a Wasilla residence.<\/p>\n

Tyrone Hampton, 40, of California and Charles Holyfield, 37, of Arizona were both arrested for felony second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. Lawrence McGirt II, 24, of California was arrested for a number of California warrants, said the news release. All of the suspects were taken to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement personnel reported seizing 2,700 counterfeit fentanyl pills, with a reported street value of $100,000 in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley.<\/p>\n

Drug taskforces across the state have seized nearly 2,000 pills containing fentanyl and more than 1,000 grams of fentanyl since the beginning of the year, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
