According to a public notice filed Monday, the airline has requested a 50-year lease of 22,500 square feet of space at the airport for \u201cground equipment storage and miscellaneous storage to support commercial airline operations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to state documents, the airline will pay the state $2,767.50 per year for use of the space at the state-owned airport.<\/p>\n<p>While Alaska Airlines\u2019 half-century lease is a long one, it isn\u2019t unheard of.
