{"id":91469,"date":"2022-09-20T22:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-21T06:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/police-investigate-near-kaxdigoowu-hen-dei\/"},"modified":"2022-09-22T09:22:59","modified_gmt":"2022-09-22T17:22:59","slug":"police-investigate-near-kaxdigoowu-hen-dei","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/police-investigate-near-kaxdigoowu-hen-dei\/","title":{"rendered":"Police: Death being investigated as homicide"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\t\t\t\t<p><ins><em>This is a developing story. <\/em><\/ins><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<p>A person of interest has been identified and located after a 55-year-old Juneau woman was found dead near a trailhead, police said in a<a href=\"https:\/\/juneau.org\/police\/jpd-psa-individual-view\/entry\/87074\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> late-night news release.<\/a> The death is being investigated as a homicide.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<p>Shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday, police received a report of a dead woman found on Kaxdigoowu H&#233;en Dei (Brotherhood Bridge Trail), according to police. The woman&rsquo;s body was located about 200 yards away from the trailhead parking lot near Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<p>The woman has been identified and her next of kin has been notified, according to police, but her name was not released Wednesday night.
