{"id":92135,"date":"2022-10-18T22:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-19T06:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/police-share-more-information-about-deadly-crash\/"},"modified":"2022-10-19T11:08:23","modified_gmt":"2022-10-19T19:08:23","slug":"police-share-more-information-about-deadly-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/police-share-more-information-about-deadly-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Police share more information about deadly crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><ins><em>This is a developing story. <\/em><\/ins><\/p>\n<p>Police have identified the three passengers of a truck that sank into Auke Lake after a late-night crash, and Wednesday morning released the identity of the young man whose body was found in the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Dayton Fredrick, 19, who according to the Juneau Police Department is believed to have been driving a white pickup truck that lost control near the lake, was found Tuesday morning inside the vehicle, which was submerged in about 14 feet of water.<\/p>\n<p><ins>[<a href=\"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/police-investigate-roll-over-wreck-near-auke-lake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Police investigate roll-over wreck<\/a>]<\/ins><\/p>\n<p>The body will be flown to the Medical Examiner&rsquo;s Office in Anchorage to determine a cause of death, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Police have also identified two young men who are believed to have been passengers in the truck at the time of the wreck, but have not released their identities.<\/p>\n<p>Both an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old man left the scene of the crash prior to the arrival of police, according to JPD.
