The suspect in the killing of a Juneau woman is facing additional charges after Thursday afternoon indictments.<\/p>\n
Anthony Michael Migliaccio, 34, was indicted on charges of two counts of second-degree murder, and a charge of manslaughter, according to court documents released Thursday afternoon.<\/a> The Juneau Grand Jury indictment specifies the charges are in relation to the killing Faith Rogers, 55, of Juneau.<\/p>\n [Man arrested in killing of Faith Rogers pleads not guilty]<\/ins><\/p>\n Late last week Migliaccio was arrested by the Juneau Police Department<\/a> on a first-degree murder charge following a two-month investigation after Rogers’ body was found in late September on a popular Mendenhall Valley trail, Kaxdigoowu Héen Dei, also known as Brotherhood Bridge Trail.<\/p>\n An autopsy at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Anchorage found Roger’s cause of death to be severe blood loss due to a sharp-force injury to her neck, according to charging documents.<\/a><\/p>\n Migliaccio is currently being held at Lemon Creek Correctional Center, according to the state court system, where he is being held on $500,000 cash-only bail. Last week, Migliaccio pleaded not guilty<\/a> to the first-degree murder charge.<\/p>\n According to state statutes, the maximum sentence for first-degree murder in Alaska is 99 years in prison. The sentence for second-degree murder is at least 15 years but not more than 99 years. The sentence for manslaughter in Alaska is a prison term of not more than 20 years.<\/p>\n
