Three cars were involved in a crash Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Vanderbilt Hill Road and Egan Drive. Capital City Fire\/Rescue Assistant Chief Sam Russell said one person involved was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital with minor injuries while the other two involved declined treatment or transport.<\/p>\n
“We responded with one engine and one ambulance to oversee the event,” Russell said. “We did have a fuel spill by one of the cars, but that was taken care of by the tow truck company; CCFR mitigated it initially and then the tow truck company took care of the rest. Other than that, it was a relatively minor incident, luckily it was a relatively minor incident with as many cars that we had involved.”<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for Juneau Police Department said in an email that the wreck occurred approximately at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday. A 2014 white Dodge Challenger that was found to be at fault was operated by 30-year-old Brittnie Cooper. Cooper was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance and failure to exercise due care.<\/p>\n
The other two people involved were an 80-year-old man driving a Toyota Tacoma and an 85-year-old man driving a Jeep Wrangler. All three vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene, according to JPD.<\/p>\n
