“A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.”

Where and by whom does Illinois, Alaska, or any other state in this union, have the proliferation of National Rifle Associated-endorsed military assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, been sanctioned by a “…. well regulated militia…?” It is only under that auspice that “…it’s necessary to the security of a free ‘State’, the right of [its] people to keep and bear arms,” but not to facilitate that state’s ‘insecurity?’ Colt, Remington, and other seductive marketers, mentored by NRA-trained lobbyists, have so distorted our interpretation, or “read” of the Second Amendment, and most significantly that of frightened consumers, that many law-makers are trapped into allowing capital markets and consumer popularity (after many of these purchasers have been groomed by the video-gaming industry), into believing that every citizen of these United States has a personal and legal, duty and to carry these weapons, many military-grade assault rifles, everywhere.

Do your job as a representative of “the people” and protect us all. Not just the profit margins of manufacturers and paid lobbyists.
