A Juneau man was arrested early Sunday morning on assault and weapon-related charges, after police say a gun was fired in a Mendenhall Valley area residence.<\/p>\n
No injuries were reported and alcohol was a factor, according to Juneau Police Department. <\/p>\n
Aaron Michael Lampman-Reid, 35, was arrested shortly after 12:02 a.m. when a 46-year-old woman called Juneau Police Department to report a disturbance at her residence in the 9000 block of Rosedale Street, according to the Juneau Police Department.<\/p>\n
The woman told police that after an argument, Lampman-Reid discharged a handgun into the ceiling, causing her to lock herself in the bathroom until police could arrive, according to JPD. It was also reported that Lampman-Reid punched a kitchen cabinet during the argument which resulted in $125 in damages. Police stated the handgun was located on the kitchen floor of the residence and Lampman-Reid was found and detained by police inside the garage.<\/p>\n
Lampman-Reid was charged with a class C felony of third-degree assault, a class A misdemeanor of fourth-degree assault, two counts of fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Lampman-Reid was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n
