{"id":95494,"date":"2023-02-16T22:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-17T07:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/two-teens-arrested-on-burglary-charges\/"},"modified":"2023-02-16T22:30:00","modified_gmt":"2023-02-17T07:30:00","slug":"two-teens-arrested-on-burglary-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/two-teens-arrested-on-burglary-charges\/","title":{"rendered":"Two teens arrested on burglary charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two Juneau teens were arrested on theft and burglary charges after they were identified from video surveillance footage, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Two 17-year-old boys, who police have not publicly identified, were arrested on Thursday and Friday on charges of second-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree theft, according to a Juneau Police Department news release, which stated both suspects have been taken to Johnson Youth Center.<\/p>\n<p>At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, JPD received a report of a burglary at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dehartsaukebaystore.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">De Hart&rsquo;s Auke Bay Store <\/a>on Glacier Highway. Police were notified that the front door leading into the liquor side of the convenience store had been broken, with damages estimated at $720 and that about $250 of alcohol had been stolen.
