{"id":96506,"date":"2023-03-13T22:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-14T06:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/nws-snow-followed-by-heavy-rain-on-the-way\/"},"modified":"2023-03-13T22:30:00","modified_gmt":"2023-03-14T06:30:00","slug":"nws-snow-followed-by-heavy-rain-on-the-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/nws-snow-followed-by-heavy-rain-on-the-way\/","title":{"rendered":"NWS: Snow followed by heavy rain on the way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a stint of cooler temperatures and clear skies in Juneau, the National Weather Service in Juneau released a winter weather advisory for the area going into effect early Wednesday morning and running through Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Bezenek, lead meteorologist at NWS Juneau, said the forecast predicts roughly 2-5 inches of snow to fall here in Juneau beginning Wednesday morning, followed by a switch to heavy rain in the evening and warming temperatures.
