(Klas Stolpe\/For the Juneau Empire)<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t “We got a couple players who had been at college doing some finals and stuff,” Haines’ center Tyler Swinton said. “So we had a little bit more depth for sure, more height… but really I just think we moved the ball better. We are less one demensional. We played better as a team today… had good team defense and now we just have to keep it going.”<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t Haines put 80 points on the scoreboard, led by 27 points from new edition Kirby Faverty, while Kake tallied 54 and displayed an aggressive offensive attack of younger players who made a statement in the tournament.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t Kake’s Simon Friday connected on three shots past the arch in the first quarter and Ethan Kadake another, while Shawn Merry blasted past defenders for three buckets.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t “It’s a physical atmosphere,” Kake’s Merry said. “It’s very, very fun. I figured out some things I need to work on… getting into the paint and pump-faking and just trying not to get blocked playing my game. But that’s the name of the game I guess, just being competitive.”<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t
