{"id":9708,"date":"2018-01-08T20:59:07","date_gmt":"2018-01-09T04:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/juneau-federal-building-to-test-fire-alarms-this-week\/"},"modified":"2018-01-08T20:59:07","modified_gmt":"2018-01-09T04:59:07","slug":"juneau-federal-building-to-test-fire-alarms-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/juneau-federal-building-to-test-fire-alarms-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Juneau Federal building to test fire alarms this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Don&rsquo;t be alarmed if you hear noise coming from the federal building Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>The General Services Administration has announced that it will test fire alarms from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday at the Hurff Ackerman Saunders Federal Building in the Juneau Flats.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/juneauempire.com\/local\/2015-11-19\/federal-building-testing-alarms-nightly\" target=\"_blank\">Previous testing<\/a> has been audible throughout the surrounding neighborhood, and the flashing lights that accompany the testing are visible from across the city.<\/p>\n<p>Exterior fire alarms will be tested for 15-30 minutes starting at 6 p.m. and will be the most noticable. Interior fire alarms will be tested later in the evening and night.<\/p>\n<p>If needed, testing will continue Tuesday night, starting at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>GSA, which maintains the federal building, announced the testing last week in an emailed statement and apologizes for the noise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Don&rsquo;t be alarmed if you hear noise coming from the federal building Monday night.
