Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaa.at Kalé boys soccer keeps rolling in the right direction after two wins against Ketchikan High School on Friday and Saturday, putting the Crimson Bears’ record at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in conference for the season so far.<\/p>\n

Friday, JDHS won its first conference game against Ketchikan 5-2 and 2-1 on Saturday. Head coach Gary Lehnhart said the team is pleased with where their sitting and above all, confident with how they’re playing.<\/p>\n

“We’re playing well, we’re undefeated,” Lenhart said. “They (Kayhi) were, too, before they came here, so that puts us in the driver’s seat for conference, pretty much one more win and we’ve got it. We’re sitting really well, we won the Kenai tournament last weekend <\/a>and played the best teams along the Kenai peninsula and Palmer which is one of the strongest teams up north, so we’re feeling pretty good and in good shape.” <\/p>\n

JDHS senior Kean Buss scored one goal on Friday’s game, followed by sophomore Ahmire Parker with two goals, sophomore Kellen Chester for one and sophomore Kai Ciambor got credit for the last goal for causing the ball to bounce off a Ketchikan player for the point. Buss would claim the first goal on Saturday, followed by Ciambor again with the game winning point.<\/p>\n

Next up, the Bears will play three non-conference games in Anchorage against Grace Christian High School on Wednesday, followed by Palmer High School on Thursday and West Anchorage High School on Friday.<\/p>\n

“Grace Christian are Palmer are at our level and then with West Anchorage we’ll still be playing against a big school, so that’ll be a good test for us,” Lenhart said.<\/p>\n
