JUNEAU — The Alaska Youth Choir will perform “OYE, Listen to the Voice of Our Children” featuring Alaskapella on Saturday, May 14.
The concert starts at 7 p.m. at Chapel by the Lake and admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at the door or by calling 789-1941.
A farewell reception for Missouri Smyth will follow the performance. Smyth has been artistic director of the choir for 18 years.
“She’s just been a great inspiration for us,” said Amanda Blackgoat, Alaska youth choir board president. “The children love her, her dedication has always been something we could rely on. And we’re going to miss her.”
