Bernard Sims Sr. to be ordained Aug. 27

Leonard Bernard Sims Sr. will fulfill his lifelong dream of serving the Lord and His people by being ordained (non-denominational) at 11 a.m. Aug. 27 at Valley Church. The ordination will be conducted by Dr. Samuel Green from Jacksonville, Florida, Narrow Way Ministry. Everyone who would like to participate in the celebration is invited to attend. The Church is located at 9741 Mendenhall Loop Road in Juneau.

Mr. Sims has been married to Rena Marie Sims for over 21 years. He and Rena have 12 chilidren together. He has parented over 300 children and youth. He served the Juneau community as an electrician for the Juneau school District for more than 34 years while also running a prison ministry for five years and a nursing home ministry for over five years. Mr. Sims also served his country with the U.S. Coast Guard.
