Chasing Shadows premiere

Eaglecrest Ski Area is premiering Warren Miller Entertainment’s new snowsports film, Chasing Shadows, at the Rockwell Ballroom Nov. 15 – show times at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. All proceeds for this event go to the Eaglecrest Foundation.

Since 1949, winter has started with Warren Miller. This fall, launch your ski and snowboard season with Warren Miller Entertainment’s 66th annual film, Chasing Shadows. Come along as we follow the world’s best skiers and snowboarders as they chase storms across the globe and cast shadows on some of the world’s highest peaks – the French Alps, Alaska’s Chugach, Utah’s Wasatch, the Chilean Andes and the Himalayas.

“Our athletes show us that anything is possible if your passions and desires are in the right direction,” says Director of Cinematography, Chris Patterson, who has been making films with Warren Miller for 24 years.

Take a glimpse into the world of the U.S. freestyle team and fringe snowsports, like monoskiing, powsurfing and speedriding. Then explore the culturally rich locations and snow-covered summits that motivate passionate skiers and snowboarders to keep searching and chasing after a feeling, big storm, and the turns for each winter and for a lifetime more.

Every attendee receives a free midweek lift ticket voucher to Eaglecrest, valid from Opening Day to Closing Day. Vouchers are transferable, so if you already have a Season Pass, you can share your lift ticket with a friend. Vouchers can be upgraded to a Learn to Ski/Snowboard Package for $20, which includes lift ticket, rental equipment, and a 2-hour lesson.

Tickets are on sale now. Head to warrenmiller.brownpapertickets.com to buy in advance, or cash sales at the door. Kids age 6 and under get in free to the 4 p.m. show.

Eaglecrest is scheduled to open Saturday, December 5, and the first ever Downtown Rail Jam is Saturday, November 28. Head to warrenmiller.com and skijuneau.com for more information.
