Registration is now open for Juneau’s 4-H Cross Country Ski Club. Juneau youth between grades 1 and 12 and their families are invited to join the club, which will meet on Sundays from 1:30-3 p.m. Jan. 8 to March 12 at various locations around town.
Instructors Odin Brudie and Frankie Pillifant will teach classic and skate skiing technique, ski gear maintenance, trail etiquette and outdoor skills. 4-H registration costs $25; ski rental and trail fees cost $55.
Signup will take place at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension office at 450 Whittier St. and online at http://bit.ly/EnrollSoutheast4H. Participants must register with 4-H.
