The Learning Connection in Juneau is now taking applications for Southeast-wide college and career-counseling program for adults. Called Making Academics, Training and Careers Happen (MATCH), the program is geared toward helping adults out of high school define their career and education paths.

“TLC tries to anticipate and meet adult learning needs. We could see that many students have solid learning or job goals, but were having a hard time finding their paths to success,” said program founder Jeff Smith. “With MATCH, we offer personalized education and career counseling in each student’s hometown, a week of college and career awareness training in Juneau, and the possibility of Juneau Construction Academy training.”

MATCH is free and open to Southeast Alaskans age 18 and over who are out of high school. Diplomas are not necessary. Ten spots are available for this one-year program. Applications are due by March 10. Go to www.serrc.org/careermatch for more information.
