JACC calls for brochure art

The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council will soon present Season 44 of the Performing Arts and Culture Concert series, special fundraising event, free community events, and annual grant, scholarship, gallery, and festival opportunities.

While Season 44 events officially begin in September of 2017, and runs through August of 2018, the projected construction date for the New Juneau Arts and Culture Center is July 2018. To commemorate 10 years of arts and culture programming in the old Juneau Arts and Culture building, the JAHC is hosting a district-wide call for art for the Season 44 brochure cover and prints.

All interested artists and art groups in Juneau may apply. Deadline for artwork submission is 5 p.m., July 21, 2017. Artwork must be original, and reference the Juneau Arts and Culture Center. Any representation of the JACC building as a whole, rooms within the building, or events and programming within the building are acceptable. Applications can be found at jahc.org.

The winning artist will receive $500 and the artwork will be used for the cover of the JAHC Season 44 brochure. The graphic designer of the brochure retains the right to use either/both partial or detail views of the piece or the full piece. If the piece has not been digitized, the AJHC will work with the artist and a local printer to scan the artwork and will sell prints of the artwork in the JAHC lobby shop to fundraise for the New JACC.
