Juneau Girl Scouts thank Allen Marine for whale watch

The Juneau Girl Scouts would like to thank Allen Marine for their generous support of our annual Volunteer Appreciation Whale Watch on Sept. 12. We would also like to thank all of our friends and family who bought tickets. Proceeds help us provide travel support to Juneau Girl Scouts volunteers to attend the Girl Scouts of Alaska Adult Learning Summit at the BP Energy Center in Anchorage and GSAK Camp Singing Hills in Chugiak, Nov. 11 and 12.

Special thanks to Captain Julia Francis (Girl Scout Brownie Leader of Troop 4047) and her amazing crew. We had a beautiful morning at sea, and we were awed by the sight and hydrophone sound of a spectacular group of bubble-netting humpback whales. What an unforgettable trip!

If you would like to know more about Girl Scouts of Alaska and our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character, please call 586-1710 or visit girlscoutsalaska.org.
