What is the Holy Supper? The Holy Supper is a sacred moment where the believer participates of the bread and the wine to commemorate the redeeming sacrifice of the son of God. It was instituted by Jesus himself when he sat with his disciples and said to them, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

In this occasion, the Holy Supper was hosted physically in 67 venues worldwide: 32 in Mexico, 25 in the United States and 10 in Europe. Most of the members gathered at their local house of prayer to connect via digital platforms to the venue nearest to their location. Some of the venues here in the United States included Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and many other urban cities. In Alaska, the congregations located in Fairbanks, Kenai and Wasilla, gathered with the Anchorage congregation at the local house of prayer. In addition, there was a group that gathered in Juneau, the capital city of the state. Furthermore, the Alaska delegations connected via online to the Holy Supper service live from Phoenix, Arizona. All locations gathered under the current local guidelines to keep everyone safe from illness.

During the Holy Supper service, members delighted in the beautiful voices of a cappella singers who attended the venues in representation of the 5 million members worldwide. The singers incited through the hymns to meditate in the redeeming sacrifice of Jesus. In a solemn moment of spiritual discernment, the attendees reflected on what Christ suffered to grant us an opportunity of salvation. Additionally, these reflections lead those who gathered to search for God and to take advantage of this time of salvation.

The Holy Supper brings a multitude of spiritual benefits to those who participate. For example, the Holy Supper brings communion for the believer with God and Christ. Jesus expressed in John 17:23, “I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” For this reason, the members of the faith prepare beforehand in a spiritual consecration to seek that perfect unity once again. Furthermore, the participants of the Holy Supper also receive forgiveness of sins. Jesus expressed in Matthew 26:27 and 28, “Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Also, those who participate of the bread and the wine receive spiritual strength. The many struggles in life and the obstacles may cause many to faint, but the believers receive the strength to continue in the path.

To finalize, the Light of the World members fulfilled once again what the apostle Paul mentioned. May the peace of God dwell in your hearts and God bless you all.
