The Women of the Moose, Juneau Chapter #439, need models for its sixth annual Frugal Fashion show and Tea, which will take place Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. at the Moose Lodge. One hundred percent of the net proceeds will benefit the AWARE shelter (Aiding Women in Abuse and Rape Emergencies.)

Models can wear their own outfit — or model for someone else — as long as the outfit is under $25. Outfits can be from second hand stores, garage sales, sales racks or other locations. As always, there will be a cash prize of $100 for the top model, as well as additional prizes.

This year will also include a silent auction, a category for children younger than 12, a hat contest for children, and 50/50 raffles.

Tickets for the event are $20 for individuals or $30 for a parent with a child.

Everyone who buys a full price ticket will have their name entered to win a 1-inch silver hand-carved bracelet by Doug Chilton.

Help is needed for the refreshments, set up, clean up, serving and more. If you’re interested in working on this event in any way, or being a model, please contact Janet Lassiter at 957-2022 or email fashiontea7@gmail.com.
