Montana Creek Road beyond the Hank Harmon Rifle Range is now closed for the winter season; the road will reopen on May 1, 2016 or when conditions allow.
In a release from the City and Borough of Juneau, the road was closed on Tuesday.
During the winter months, the closed section of road is groomed for cross country skiing by the nonprofit Juneau Nordic Club. Parking for use of the groomed trails is located adjacent to the rifle range.
