Local students earn academic honors.

Juneau student earns honors at Gonzaga

Riley Sikes of Juneau was named to Gonzaga University’s president’s list for the 2021 fall semester, the university announced.

To be placed on the list, students must earn a 3.85-4 GPA, according to Gonzaga.

Juneau student earns honors at Cal Poly

Jackson Norberg of Juneau was recently named to California Polytechnic State University dean’s list for the fall quarter.

Norberg is a third-year student studying mechanical engineering.

Juneau student earns honors at University of Idaho

Tobin J. Minick of Juneau was named to University of Idaho’s fall 2021 dean’s list, the university announced.

A total of 2,585 students qualified for the list, according to the university. To qualify, students must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA on a minimum of 12 graded credits during the semester.

Juneau student earns honors at George Fox University

Kara Lange of Juneau was among those who earned dean’s list recognition at George Fox University for the fall 2021 semester, the university announced.

Traditional undergraduate students must earn a 3.5 GPA or above on 12 or more hours of graded work to earn a spot on the dean’s list, according to the university. Lange is a senior majoring in cinematic arts.

Juneau student earns honors at Concordia University Wisconsin

Isabelle Shields of Douglas was named to Concordia University Wisconsin’s honors list for the 2021-22 academic year, the university announced.

To be eligible for the honor, students must achieve a minimum 3.60 GPA.

Shields is a junior pursuing a degree in nursing.

Juneau students earn honors at University of Utah

Two students from Juneau were named to University of Utah’s 2021 dean’s list, the university announced.

Olivia Moore and Thomas Kauffman of Juneau were both named to the list, according to the university.

Moore is pursuing degrees in international studies and atmospheric sciences, according to the university. Kauffman is pursuing a degree in pre-biomedical engineering.
