Juneau students earn honors at UAS

University of Alaska Southeast recently announced its chancellor’s and dean’s lists for the 2022 spring semester.

Dean’s list students are recognized for achieving a GPA between 3.5 and 3.99 during the Spring 2022 semester, according to UAS. Chancellor’s List students are recognized for achieving a grade point average of 4.0 during the Spring 2022 semester. Juneau students were well-represented on the lists.

Juneau student graduates from Furman University

Furman University President Elizabeth Davis presided over the class of 2022 commencement exercises, which took place Saturday, May 7, at Paladin Stadium on campus, according to the university.

Nearly 630 students graduated in the class of 2022, and Zoe Novoa of Juneau graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Novoa’s parents and/or guardians are Sheila E. Dyer and Leonardo Novoa.

Juneau student earns honors at the University of Wyoming

The University of Wyoming recently announced its provost’s honor roll.

The honor roll included Ian Lee Kelly of Juneau.

The honor roll consists of undergraduates who have completed at least six but fewer than 12 hours with a minimum 3.5 grade-point average for the semester, according to the university.To be eligible, students must have been enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours taken for letter grades.
