he Board of Education recognizes Phil and Richard Isaak (center) for the generous donation of a digital video scoreboard system in the JDHS gym.

The Juneau School District (JSD) thanks Ike’s Fuel for the generous donation of two digital video scoreboards in the Juneau-Douglas High School (JDHS) gym. This is a very unique system and through their kindness, JDHS is one of only 12 high schools in the country to have this advanced system in a gymnasium. The scoreboard system made its public debut during the recent Capital City Classic.

Special recognition goes out to Phil and Richard Isaak of Ike’s Fuel for the scoreboards and the continued support of youth athletic programs; the Juneau Lions Club and their financial support for installation of the scoreboards; Linda Leidel of Nevco Scoreboards; Curtis Blackwell, Steve Brandner and the JSD Maintenance Department; Chris Murray and the JSD IT Department; JSD Student Services Director Dr. Bridget Weiss; JDHS Activities Director Chad Bentz and Principal Paula Casperson; Mikko Wilson of the JDHS video program; and, the Juneau Board of Education.

This gift will benefit Juneau students and our community for many years to come!
