Thx

Thank you letter for the week of March 7, 2021

Thank you, merci, danke, gracias, gunalchéesh.

As the nurse manager of Same Day Surgery at Bartlett Regional Hospital, I would like to express my gratitude to the people of Juneau’s Capital City Fire/Rescue COVID-19 Drive-Thru testing facility at the Hagevig Fire Training Center.

Over this past year of pandemic, Bartlett Same Day Surgery would not have been able to successfully serve the communities of Southeast Alaska without the critical work done by CCFR. Because of the testing and coordinating efforts of CCFR, we could efficiently and safely take care of our local patients needing hospital services.

CCFR staff has shown extreme dedication, courage and resilience during this time.

CCFR has worked tirelessly to provide their site as the primary testing venue for our patients, including on weekends and holidays. CCFR staff has regularly communicated directly with our nurses, in order to coordinate testing needs for patients. CCFR staff has also done home visits for patients unable to drive to the testing site, as well as meeting our out-of-town patients at their hotel for testing, if needed.

As we make the shift to onsite testing for Bartlett’s Same Day Surgery patients, CCFR remains critical in maintaining the health of our community and the health of our hospital.

Thank you to everyone on the staff of CCFR for your courage, grace and compassion,

Sarah Holzman, RN,

Same Day Surgery manager for Bartlett Regional Hospital
