Juneau Dance Theatre (JDT) would like to thank Hecla Greens Creek Mining Co. for their generous donation of $5,000 for our 2019-2020 season. Hecla representative Mike Satre presented the donation this past weekend, at the JDT studio. He spoke briefly to our students, commending them for their commitment to healthy activity; and congratulating them for the upcoming production of The Nutcracker.

We so appreciate Hecla’s annual sponsorship and support of our organization. Our tuition revenues cover our operating and fixed costs; however we rely on community support to supplement parts of our program, such as our annual production of The Nutcracker and Spring Showcase. We are extremely grateful to the business and individual sponsors who have come forward for our 2019-2020 season. Hecla’s donation is the largest business sponsorship we received this year, and they have been a loyal contributor for many years. This year’s sponsorship will be used to fund the purchase of new costumes for The Nutcracker, and to help cover our facility costs to use the JDHS auditorium for the production. Many thanks to the team at Hecla and we hope we can return the gift to the community through our performances!
