Thx

Thank you letters for the week of Oct. 16

Thank you, merci, danke, gracias, gunalchéesh.

Thank you for fundraiser contributions

The Juneau Animal Rescue Board of Directors and JAR Staff would like to thank the many people, volunteers, sponsors, organizations and businesses that have contributed to our fundraisers over the last few months.

Our Hairball: A Masquerade-Fur-All (beer/wine tasting and silent auction) event was a huge success, thanks to our alcohol vendors, Forbidden Peak, Alaskan Brewery, Devil’s Club Brewery, K & L Distributors, Specialty Imports and Southern Glazers. Thanks to Alaska Airlines for donating to us every year as our top auction item. We also want to thank the many retail businesses that donate to this event every year. Most importantly, we wish to thank the JAR supporters who attended this event and bid on the items. Without all of you and your support, we would not have such a successful event!

We were fortunate to be asked by CHARR, Alaska Cabaret Hotel Restaurant Retailers Association, to host their silent auction event during their convention in Juneau. Thanks to the generous support of CHARR members and attendees, JAR had another incredible fundraising event.

Lastly, thank you to all who sponsored, submitted photos and voted for this year’s Alaska Pets Calendar contest. Our calendar is in the process of being printed and will be for sale soon.

We are fortunate to live in a community that is so generous and turns out in numbers to support our pets. Without all of you who continue to support JAR, we could not care for the animals that need us the most.

Thank you,

Juneau Animal Rescue Board of Directors

Friends of the Flags was originally formed in 1978 through the inspiration of the late Rudy Ripley. In 2019, the volunteer group requested that TBMP and Travel Juneau take over the program.

Many thanks also to the Juneau community for supporting the project. This season’s flags are available to the public for a donation at the Triangle Club beginning Friday, Oct. 7 and the Alaska flag is available through a silent auction. Donations are now needed to purchase new flags, hardware, and permits for 2023; donations can be sent to Friends of the Flags, c/o Travel Juneau, 800 Glacier Ave., Ste. 201, Juneau, AK, 99801. Please make checks payable to Friends of the Flags.
