Thank you to the Juneau gardeners and Rotary supporters for making our annual Juneau- Gastineau Rotary Bulb Fundraiser a success.
We couldn’t have done it without the assistance of many Juneau businesses. Thank you to Lynden Alaska Marine Lines for transporting and delivering the bulbs, AEL&P for being bulb distribution center, Super Bear IGA for the bags used to package bulb orders, Orsi Organic Produce for providing Juneau-grown garlic, Printing Trade Company for giving us a discount on rotarybulb.com cards, and Jensen Yorba Lott for printing posters, order blanks and copying final orders. Thank you also to our media friends at the Juneau Radio Center and KTOO!
The Juneau-Gastineau Rotary Club is one of four Rotary clubs in Juneau. Some of the projects we support include: International Youth Exchange with Juneau students going abroad and foreign students coming to Juneau; Auke Bay and Riverbend Schools playground equipment, beds for Housing First, monthly Glory Hole dinners, Alaska Pioneer Home holiday party and gifts, Jensen Olson Arboretum kiosk and covered viewing area and wheelchair donations abroad.
Your support helps make these programs possible. Be looking for the bulbs coming up this spring at the Douglas roundabout, the Juneau School District Administration Offices, and along Egan Drive by the Prospector Hotel. Juneauites will enjoy colorful displays of flowers thanks to the gardeners and Rotary supporters.
