The Roadies

On the streets of Skagway is where it all start,

This leg is one of the steepest parts

Mile 1 starts out with a bang

Time to see if The Roadies can hang

The Summit of White Pass set in your sights

Leg 2 takes us to high elevation and heights

It may hurt but no negative thoughts will shroud

When you see the checkpoint up in the clouds

The Princess Leg many may call this

Leg 3 checkpoint gives you pancakes and sausage!

The miles downhill pass as you bust ‘em

We’ll see ya right after Canadian Customs

We’re in Canada now, oh look there’s no rain

Leg 4 rolls through some gorgeous terrain

So many mountains, so many lakes

You know this is worth all of the aches

It’s really late now, who’s still awake?

Pitch black, Leg 5 winds along Tutshi Lake

10 miles behind you, downhill is in order

As you bring us across the Yukon Border

At 16 miles this leg is the longest

Leg 6 you got this! Crossfit’s made you the strongest!

Over halfway complete, Roadies still on their feet

Oh shoot you’re about to hand it to me!

It’s early, daybreak on the horizon

Leg 7’s beauty a soul will enliven

Emerald Lake’s splendor over one last crest

Do it, don’t falter, and give it your best

Some breakfast and coffee your adrenaline races

12 hilly miles, Leg 8 puts you through all of the paces

You did this for you and nobody else

You should be so very proud of yourself

We’ve ran 87 miles, camaraderie is tight

We know we will sleep very well tonight

Leg 9 winds towards the end of race

Think about beer and keep up your pace!

Along the banks of the Yukon you hit city limits

Leg 10 closes out the final miles and minutes

It’s almost over, time for beer and the dance

Now finish the race but don’t poop your pants!
