In the first quarter of 2016, Rasmuson Foundation made 64 Tier 1 awards for a total of $1,338,739. Of that amount, $124,585 will go to Juneau organizations.
AWARE will receive $25,000 to purchase furnishings. REACH, Inc., will receive $24,585 for office furniture. Juneau-Douglas City Museum will receive $25,000 for display cases. Capital Community Broadcasting, Inc. will receive $25,000 to renovate the KTOO building. Association of Alaska School Boards will receive $25,000 to match funds for learning program in Alaska Schools.
The Tier 1 program is a cornerstone of Rasmuson Foundation’s grantmaking and provides grants up to $25,000 for capital projects, technology upgrades, program expansion and creative works. Applications are accepted year-round.
