Presentation: “Sharing the Trails,” 7–9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, Dzantik’i Heeni library. Dog owners and other recreational users interested in learning more about where trapping is allowed and not allowed, and how traps operate and what to do if they are encountered, are invited to this presentation. “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. Sunday through Dec. 6, Perseverance Theatre. Sweeney Todd, a Tony-award-winning musical, tells the story of Benjamin Barker, a London-based barber armed with a sharp, straight razor, who teams up with a local pie-maker.
“A Restrospective View of Dr. Walter Soboleff,” noon, Friday, Nov. 13, Walter Soboleff Building. Event will feature stories about Walter Soboleff’s life, a reading of his hand-written letters and a formal transfer of an original painted portrait of him from Sealaska to Sealaska Heritage Institute. Evening at Egan: A Fulbright Scholar in Israel, 7-8:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, Egan Library. With Sherry Tamone, Professor of Biology. Tamone was awarded a Fulbright Scholar Research Award to study crustacean biology in Israel for four months. The presentation will highlight the role of the Fulbright program supporting research, teaching, and cultural exchange.

Puppet Building Workshop with Elizabeth Westermann, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, Hangar Ballroom. Elizabeth Westermann has made puppets for music videos, the National Dairy Council, and Wizards of the Coast (the makers of Magic: The Gathering). This workshop will teach the basics of creating functional stage puppets. Puppet-building materials are included; however, participants must bring their own sewing machine and hot glue gun.
Fish Printing Workshop at the Canvas, 11 a.m.–4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, The Canvas. In conjunction with its November gallery show, “Anadromous,” The Canvas will be offering a fish printing workshop on t-shirts.
