City to offer free drive-thru COVID-19 testing

It will be available Dec. 30-Jan. 10.

Beginning Dec. 30, City and Borough of Juneau is again offering free COVID-19 testing to people not experiencing symptoms of the illness.

The free, asymptomatic testing will be available 10 a.m.-6 p.m. through Jan. 10 every day except for Jan. 1, the city announced. People can self-register for testing online at https://juneau.org/covid-19/testing.

The drive-thru tests will be conducted at the Havevig Training Center on Sherwood Lane. People who have internet connectivity issues and cannot complete registration, can call the COVID-19 Screening Hotline at 586-6000, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. daily, according to the city. Hotline hours will be extended 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Dec.30-Jan. 10.
