Company plans ATV tours in Haines

Alaska Mountain Guides Adventures Inc. has requested permission from the Alaska Department of Natural Resources to operate ATV tours in Haines starting next summer.

According to a permit application with DNR’s division of mining, land and water, AMGA plans to take up to 12,000 tourists per year on ATV tours of the Haines area.

The permit request states that tours would run between May and October on Sunshine Mountain Road, Porcupine Road and Flower Mountain Road.

Public comments on the permit request are being accepted through Nov. 18 by Megs Harris at megs.harris@alaska.gov.
