ANCHORAGE — The Anchorage division of the FBI has a new special agent in charge.
FBI Director James Comey announced Thursday that Marlin Ritzman will take the job.
Comey in a press release says Ritzman was section chief of the Transnational Organized Crime-Western Hemisphere Section in the Criminal Investigative Division.
The FBI hired Ritzman in 1990.
He has worked on the FBI’s hostage rescue team and held leadership positions in the Kansas City Division.
He was an assistant legal attache in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Ritzman is a certified special weapons and tactics agent and is a recipient of the FBI’s Shield of Bravery.
