The Alaska Marine Highway is seeking proposals for someone to give its vessels a complete once-over. In a public notice filed Friday, the marine highway said it expects to spend between $500,000 and $1 million on the survey between March 9 this year and July 2018.
The survey will determine the condition of each vessel in the 11-ship ferry fleet, judge what systems need replacement or repair, and what would be needed to keep the fleet in operation.
The deadline for proposals is Feb. 11.
