‘Mudflats’ blogger is new Democratic spokeswoman

Jeanne Devon, a political blogger known for her “The Mudflats” blog has been hired as the press secretary for the Alaska Senate’s five-member Democratic minority.

Devon, an author and contributing writer to the Huffington Post, is expected to begin work today.

Her hiring was announced by email Monday.
