The House Finance Subcommittee moved forward approximately $50 million in cuts from the budget proposed by the UA Board of Regents putting research funding at a "bare minimum," according to supporters.  Speakers at the rally included Rep. Sam Kito III, D-Juneau, Rep. Adam Wool, a Fairbanks Democrat whose district includes UAF, and current UA system students from across the state.
