ANCHORAGE — A 59-year-old Palmer man suspected of abusing two girls nearly two decades ago has been arrested on child sexual abuse and incest charges.
Alaska State Troopers say the man also is suspected of using his dead brother’s identity to avoid paying child support in California.
Troopers on Dec. 15 took a report from a woman who said her daughters had been sexually abused 18 years ago.
The suspect was arrested Tuesday on 12 felony counts of sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of incest.
Troopers say the suspect obtained driver’s licenses in California and Alaska using the name of his brother, who died as an infant in 1952. He applied for a Social Security number and paid taxes under his brother’s name.
He’s being held on $75,000 bail.
