Police and fire for Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017

Car crash

• At 12:58 p.m. Friday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a motor vehicle crash in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.

Child abuse

• At 5:42 a.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a possible case of child abuse.

Conditions violation

• At 11:04 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated a possible violation of a domestic violence restraining order.

Death

• At 4:09 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated the death of a 31-year-old man in the 200 block of Fourth Street. The death is not considered suspicious, and the man’s next of kin have been identified.

Disturbance

• At 11:19 a.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of a disturbance at a home in the 800 block of Dixon Street. Alcohol was involved.

Domestic violence

• At 7:16 a.m. Friday, JPD arrested a 60-year-old man for third-degree domestic violence assault. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• At 10:34 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of domestic violence assault. The woman involved in the case declined to cooperate with the investigation.

Driving without a license

• At 9:06 p.m. Saturday, 36-year-old Jenifer Johnston was arrested in the 2900 block of Douglas Highway for driving without a license and for a $100 warrant for failing to appear in court to face another charge of driving without a license. She was taken to LCCC and her vehicle was impounded.

Drunken driving

• At 11:51 a.m. Saturday, 34-year-old Dillard Cloud II was arrested in the 5700 block of Concrete Way for driving under the influence. His breath-alcohol content was 0.224 percent, and he was taken to LCCC. His vehicle was impounded.

Fire/ambulance calls

• On Tuesday, Oct. 10, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to a car crash without injuries, two false fire alarms, an emergency medical call that required no one to be taken to the hospital, and one ambulance call that did require the patient to be taken to the hospital.

• On Wednesday, CCFR took six people to the hospital, responded to one call where the patient was not taken to the hospital, two medical transport calls, and two calls that were canceled en route.

• On Thursday, CCFR took four people to the hospital, responded to a medical transport call, three calls where the patient was not transported after treatment, and one call canceled en route.

• On Friday, CCFR took 12 people to the hospital, responded to four medical transport calls, one call where the patient was not taken to the hospital, one burn complaint, one case where someone pulled a fire alarm wrongly, and one call canceled en route.

• On Saturday, CCFR took six people to the hospital, responded to a call for public assistance, two medical calls that didn’t involve a trip to the hospital, one case where someone pulled a fire alarm wrongly, a smoke complaint from a controlled burn, a fire alarm triggered by dust, and one false call other than a fire alarm.

• On Sunday, CCFR took six people to the hospital, responded to two medical transport calls, treated two people who didn’t need to be taken to the hospital, stood by for a medevac flight, and responded to a “good intent” call.

Sex assault

• At 6:37 a.m. Friday, JPD investigated a sexual assault.

• At 1:02 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated a reported sexual assault. Alcohol was involved.

Theft

• At 12:06 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated the theft of windows in the 5200 block of Commercial Boulevard.

Trespassing

• At 12:53 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a case of criminal trespassing in the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue. Alcohol was involved.

• At 8:08 a.m. Sunday, JPD investigated a case of trespassing in the 5700 block of Glacier Highway.

Vandalism

• At 11:09 a.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a case of criminal mischief in the 9200 block of Cinema Drive.

Warrant arrest

• At 9:36 a.m. Saturday, 35-year-old David Davis IV was arrested at his home on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear for a hearing on charges of interfering with a report of domestic violence and criminal mischief. Davis was taken to LCCC on $1,000 bail.
