Police calls for Friday, Aug. 17, 2018

Assault

• At 6:36 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department arrested Kurtis Detemple, 25, in the 1900 block of Lemon Creek Road for assault. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Read more on Thursday’s A3 page.

Domestic violence

• At 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the report of a domestic violence protective order in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

• At 5:03 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the report of criminal mischief domestic violence in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Drug misconduct

• At 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into the report of drug activity in the Juneau area.

Drunken driving

• At 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Eugene Chappell, 61, in the 400 block of Egan Drive, for driving under the influence. Chappell later provided a breath sample, which was measured at 0.189 percent breath-alcohol content. Chappell was taken to LCCC.

Fraud

• At 3:59 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the report of fraud in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

• At 4:22 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of credit card fraud in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Sex crime

• At 3:48 a.m. Wednesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into reported sexual abuse of a minor in the Juneau area.

Shoplifting

• At 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Calvin Wayne Boord, 49, in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway for larceny and violating conditions of release. Boord was taken to LCCC.

• At 11:42 a.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Nathan Giske, 41, in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue for larceny. Giske was later released on a citation.

Theft

• At 8:28 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 200 block of Franklin Street to investigate the report of a 27-year-old man who reported the theft of a silver Macbook Air from his business. The computer is worth an estimated $1,200. Investigation continues.

• At 5:56 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive to investigate the report of vehicle theft. Investigation continues.

• At 11:14 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 200 block of Admiral Way to investigate the report of a theft.

Vandalism

• At 7:37 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 8600 block of Teal Street to investigate the report of a vandalized vehicle. The front window of the vehicle was smashed. Investigation continues.
